Charles Fort School of Paranormal Sciences

Serious Study for Curious Minds — 100% Online, Self-Paced.

Ethereal Sciences Academy (ESA) is an independent online institution dedicated to the structured study of disciplines that exist at the edges of conventional academia—where science, philosophy, theology, consciousness, and unexplained phenomena intersect.

ESA School of Paranormal Sciences
Discipline

Paranormal Sciences is the structured academic study of phenomena that exist at the edges of established scientific explanation — hauntings, apparitions, EVP, entity classification, ITC research, demonology, and the methodologies used to investigate them. At ESA, Paranormal Sciences is taught as a serious discipline: rigorous, evidence-based, and grounded in the history and philosophy of anomalous inquiry.

Why It Matters

Field work without academic grounding is just ghost hunting. The investigators who command respect — who get published, who lead teams, who are called when something credible happens — have done the coursework. An ESA credential in Paranormal Sciences tells the world you belong in that category. It separates the serious from the curious.

Your Edge Today

Paranormal investigation is undergoing a credibility transformation. Congressional UAP hearings, mainstream scientific interest in consciousness survival, and growing public demand for serious inquiry are creating space for credentialed researchers who can engage these topics with rigor. ESA's Paranormal Sciences program gives you the academic standing to lead in a field that is finally being taken seriously.

“Fort understood something that most scientists still refuse to admit: that the data they choose not to collect is still data. He collected what they discarded — and built an entire field out of it. That is what investigators do. That is what this school teaches.”

Charles Fort School of Paranormal Sciences

Why I Named This School
After Charles Fort.

Charles Fort spent decades in the New York Public Library doing something no credentialed researcher was willing to do: collecting every documented report of anomalous phenomena that mainstream science had quietly set aside. Rains of frogs. Objects falling from clear skies. Figures seen where no figure should be. He did not explain these events. He documented them — systematically, exhaustively, and with a dry wit that made the scientific establishment deeply uncomfortable. His 1919 book, The Book of the Damned, named his subjects perfectly: data that science had condemned to the discard pile without examination. Fort pulled it back out.

I dedicated ESA's School of Paranormal Sciences to Charles Fort because he is the founding spirit of what serious paranormal investigation actually is. Not credulous belief. Not theatrical ghost hunting. Disciplined collection of evidence that the mainstream refuses to process. Fort did not have a credential, a laboratory, or institutional backing. He had a notebook and the conviction that unexplained phenomena deserved the same rigorous attention as explained ones. Every investigator who has ever documented an EVP, mapped an EMF anomaly, or logged a field report without knowing what caused it — is doing Charles Fort's work. This school is named for him because it was always his field.
